Home » About us
Far from formal, institutional settings, the Quartier francophone offers online and face-to-face encounters, where Francophones come together to share their knowledge, passions and experiences.
Whether you’re a French-speaking apprentice seeking growth or an advanced speaker, our goal is to create opportunities to connect and learn from one another.
Since 2016, we’ve been spreading the French language and culture in an alternative way. The initial aim was to offer a more effective and less boring way of learning French as a foreign language.
At the same time, we organized a large number of meetings, creative workshops and conferences to publicize lesser-known and more subtle aspects of French culture, often reduced to stereotypes linked to gastronomy or fashion.
On our YouTube channel, you’ll find our conferences and webinars on foreign language teaching.
This adventure has enabled us not only to satisfy a large number of learners, but also to develop collaborations with renowned international structures and institutions in the educational, socio-cultural and scientific fields.
One of our priorities in the teaching of FLE (French as a foreign language) is the development of literacy, which converges with the objectives of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
We adopt the definition of the Government of Alberta (Canada), for whom literacy is: “the ability, confidence and willingness to interact with language to acquire, construct and communicate meaning in all aspects of daily life.”
“Our relentless pursuit of improvement and engagement with the research community have led us to develop a high-performance teaching framework based on innovative tools.“
So, in our courses, we only talk live. It’s also the best choice for social interaction.
Our aim is to develop a whole network of linguistic and cultural skills so that learners can :
